$1,199,000

Seven-bedroom oceanside home in Salvo on Hatteras Island, tucked at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in South Beach and a short walk from the wide, uncrowded beaches of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Every bedroom has its own bath, an elevator reaches all three floors, and the private pool and hot tub sit just off the ground-level deck. Reverse Floorplan layout translates to living where the light and views are. The top floor opens into a vaulted great room with a gas fireplace and a wall of windows, a dining area with a built-in window seat, and a large kitchen with a center island, granite counters, two dishwashers, two refrigerators and a wine cooler. A screened porch and an open sun deck look out toward the ocean and the National Seashore, and a vaulted primary suite rounds out the level. Five more ensuite bedrooms and the laundry room fill the middle floor, along with a covered deck for morning coffee. Downstairs, the game room has a pool table, wet bar and lounge area, plus another ensuite bedroom, an outside shower and direct access to the pool. Known to vacation guests as “Shooting Shark,” the home has a multi-year rental track record with Surf or Sound Realty and is offered furnished, so a new owner can step into an established rental or make it their own Outer Banks getaway.
