Enjoy Traditions from Our Past at Island Farm in Manteo.
On December 6th, Island Farm, a living Roanoke Island historical site, will be interpreting traditions from the 1850’s, and illustrate how Roanoke Island families prepared for the wintertime.
Learn about the different ways of life then versus now. Activities will include hearth cooking, food preservation, candle making, and ox-drawn wagon rides from 10 am to noon.
